A finished quilt outlives the memory of how it was made. Print a fresh copy of this page for each quilt and fill it in as you go: where the pattern came from, what fabrics went in, who quilted it and who it was for. The label section at the bottom is what future owners will read.

A good label names the quilt, the maker, the quilter if different, the place and the year, and the recipient and occasion if it is a gift.
Finishing and labeling
An embroidery machine stitches a label that lasts as long as the quilt. Printable fabric sheets are the simple alternative.
