A turnover is 80 pieces of 6 x 6 inches, about 1,440 square inches or 0.95 yard of fabric. Sewn as simple patchwork it covers about 1,000 square inches, so a 50 x 65 inch throw top needs about 4 and a queen top about 9.

Measure before you cut
